How calm is Solace?

Back with another 'Art Story', this one tries to discover the deep layers of comfort we sought to find in everything we have. Those vibrant circular motions represent the most complex blend of questions to the simplest happy memories; they highlight the creativity and productivity of 'human ability to think'. The painting constantly sends you into a phase of introspection, just like the boy sitting there. By looking at the boy carefully, we realise that it's a blend of a baby and a man, highlighting that at any age, we have the conscience to perform an action that needs to be analysed at least once after the result it reaps. That makes you attain and satisfy the purpose mentally. Solace is calm in its own way for different people; for some, it may be meditation, and for others, it may be thrilling bungee jumping, but everybody wants to find solace one day. Its general perception is one of serenity and comfort; however, it doesn't come soothingly.

Anyone trying to find that feeling of empathy, kindness, joy and peace goes through spirals of journey including a variety of experiences and not just happy and sad ones. It includes guilt, sorrow, confidence, pleasure, and so much more. The dog sitting beside is symbolic of loyalty and reminds me of how Yudhishthira chose to stay loyal to a dog even at the gates of heaven. The dog represents consistency and foundational support that everyone has in some form in their life.

Much like the flow of the Ganga, the human mind carries an uninterrupted stream of emotions. Solace is not about stopping this flow, but about sitting beside it, observing it, and learning from its rhythm. The black background is just like space, where everything exists, but nothing is fully understood. Each Spiral tries to pull your attention into different opinions; it is wise to observe and wisely choose, just like the boy sitting at the edge of decision-making.

Samundra Manthan - the churning of the ocean also led to the emergence of both poison and nectar. So does the water here; it creates vibrant clouds of perceptions through vapours of situations. Each situation you embody brings responsibilities and duties that have to be experienced along with fulfilling them. When you complete them, you automatically experience achievement, and your thinking slows down.
This is where the idea of solace changes. It is not the absence of spirals, nor the silence of thoughts. Solace is the moment you realise you are no longer lost inside them, even when they continue to exist.

Solace requires a lot of endurance to the hustles, so before demanding a perception for it, start making choices that actually soothe you mentally. Your solace becomes calm when you stop spiralling into the storms of unwanted strategies.
